The Climb
Climb for Heroes kicks off with an early‑morning check‑in at Base Camp. Grab your coffee and snacks, get your bearings, and jump straight into the adventure. The mountain energy hits immediately no waiting, just go.
Climb for Heroes is a non‑competitive, family‑friendly hike for all ages, fitness levels, kids, and friendly dogs. Come with your crew, your co‑workers, or roll in solo and meet a mountain full of do‑gooders. With a minimum donation of $150, it’s accessible to everyone. Bring water, a daypack, sunscreen, a little cash, and your fired‑up philanthropic self; your adventure starts the moment you arrive.
In 30–60 minutes, you’ll reach Camp 1, your first milestone. From there, every 45 minutes or so, you’ll hit another camp, each one marking your progress with a sponsor‑designed gift, a badge of honor for every challenge conquered. And all along the trail, injured veterans are stationed at each camp as living reminders of resilience, the people this climb honors, cheering you on every step of the way. At the summit, you’ll earn a medal proving you made it!
Your heart will race from the climb, the views, and the inspiration of injured veterans stationed along the route, cheering you on with strength and resilience. And remember: this is YOUR hike. Go at your pace. Turn back anytime and enjoy The Notch if you need a break. The mountain, the challenge, and the adventure of a lifetime are calling your name.
No Pressure
There's no pressure here. You can always retreat to The Notch, the climb meets you where you are.

Can't Make It?
If Mt. Baldy isn’t nearby, you can still answer the call. Sign up, donate, fundraise, and get those miles in from wherever you are, a local park, a mountain trail, or laps around your neighborhood. The mission moves because you do.
Register, tag @theheroesproject, and complete the 8‑mile round‑trip distance by November 8th. Every finisher of the full mileage will receive a participant t‑shirt, a sponsor‑designed camp gift, and a medal honoring the miles you put in.
Track your progress with Strava, MyFitnessPal, or Google Fit. When you've finished, email info@theheroesproject.org with a photo and your app data to receive your swag.
