Carly Portalupi has produced some of the top fitness and beauty infomercials seen on TV over the past seven years.
When she's not producing, Carly is in the mountains. She started climbing outside of Los Angeles on Mt. Baldy several years ago but caught real mountain-fever after her first summit of Mt Whitney (14,505') in September, 2011. Within nine months she climbed three of the four highest peaks in the contiguous United States, including two additional Mt. Whitney summits, Mt. Rainier (14,411') in Washington and Mt. Elbert (14,440') in Colorado. She is currently training to climb Cotopaxi (19,347') in Ecuador in July, 2013.
In addition to climbing, Carly also enjoys canyoneering, traveling, and baking. Her passion for travel and experiencing new cultures has taken her to Europe, Africa, and South America.
It's always been important to Carly to give back to her community. She has spent countless hours volunteering with a number of organizations over the years including Habitat for Humanity, Squash Buster, The Boston Living Center and The Santa Monica Ocean Park Community Center. Most recently she produced a public service spot pro-bono for The American Wheelchair Foundation.
Carly was born in Akron, Ohio and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Arts & Design from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts.
She is excited to be joining The Heroes Project as Director of Operations. The mountains have always proved to be therapeutic to Carly, and she is looking forward to combining her skills and passion to support such a worthy cause
